Theatre West Van’s Spring production and entry into the North Shore Zone Festival was Ron Clark’s heart-warming comedy, “A Bench in the Sun”.

After a run at Kay Meek Studio Theatre in April, the play was reprised to a packed house May 6 at Deep Cove Stage theatre, as part of the week-long Theatre BC North Shore Zone Festival of Plays, May 3-8, 2010.

At the awards night, the production received the following awards:

Best Achievement by a Director	Norman White
Best Ensemble Performance	Nigel Barker, Wilf Wedding and Irene Reynolds
Best Achievement in Sound	Dave Barker and Anne Marsh
Honourable Mention in Lighting	Simon Drake
...and last but not least	Backstage Co-operation award
