Description of Play

This fast-paced, energetic adaptation of the classic novel and film is portrayed by only four actors with up to 60 characters. A Hitchcock spy thriller meets Monty Python!

Cast requirements

Richard Hannay The straight man, 25-45. Stays in character throughout play.
Female 25-45 - plays almost all female characters and some male ones. Femme Fatale to farm girl. Some physical comedy.
Males Two (any ages) to play all other roles (including some female roles as required). Some physical comedy.

in The Studio Theatre at the Kay Meek Centre
1700 Mathers Avenue, West Vancouver


  • Prepare comic monologue 1-2 minutes.
  • Cold reads from the script.
  • Please bring résumés and headshots to the auditions.
  • British accents will be required for production, but not necessary at audition.
  • Successful auditionees will be required to join Theatre West Van at a cost of $10 at the first rehearsal.
  • This is a non-Equity production.
